Higher Expectations : Eldest-Daughter Support Group
This 4-week live support group provides a safe and supportive space for individuals struggling with the challenges of Eldest Daughter Syndrome. Often shaped by cultural, gendered, and familial expectations, eldest daughters may carry invisible burdens—caretaking, responsibility, and identity roles that leave little space for their own needs.
This group offers a gender-inclusive space to explore identity, process family dynamics, and reframe long-standing narratives. Guided by principles of narrative therapy, participants will:
Examine the stories and expectations that have shaped them
Reframe limiting beliefs and patterns that no longer serve them
Cultivate self-compassion and emotional balance
Practice tools to strengthen boundaries and reclaim personal agency.
